AFP Academy International jump

From adidas padel and All Racquet Sports, we announce our partnership with the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association), Inc. and the USPA (United States Padel Association), to support AFP Academy. 

USPTA & USPA RECOGNITION The support of two of the major racket sports associations in the United States is a major step in the growth of padel in the United States and worldwide. With this agreement, our AFP Academy international certification program becomes the first certification with official recognition and support for padel coaches in the United States. This international approach is part of our DNA and this partnership is a great example of that.  The rise of padel is now a reality and the sport is on its way to explosive growth in the United States.

AFP Academy by adidas is an international certification and is 100% focused on coaches, the facilities and the experience of the players. It is an improved evolution of the AFP Academy, which was born in 2018 reinforcing our 360º concept, representing our values and distinctive stamp. With this concept we promote the international development of the sport by offering a complete proposal that includes the construction of courts, certifications and training of coaches and padel accessories. Marcos del Pilar, International Director of AFP Academy. Firmly believes that education is one of the keys to the growth of padel worldwide and essential to ensure the long-term health of the sport. "Working together with these associations, we want to set an example and join forces for the immediate development of sport in the United States." All Racquet Sports has already hosted 11 padel certification courses in North America and the Caribbean. Since the first certification in 2018, over 65 coaches have been certified in  Las Vegas, Miami, the Bahamas and Tampa, where the next certification will take place in early December. The president of All Racquet Sports, Lee Sponaugle stressed the importance of this agreement: "Padel is the perfect complement to tennis and other racquet sports in the United States. Starting a sport with a unified approach to teaching and certifying racquet sports professionals is a key to success and growth".

INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT

Thanks to the support of the USPA and the guidance of the FIP (International Padel Federation), padel has grown steadily in the United States with the aim of taking it to all corners of the country. Demonstrating, among other things, the social component that makes it so fun to play. In the words of USPA President Sergio Ortiz Tangassi "This alliance we are forming is just one example of many things to come in the near future, with our main goal of helping padel grow in the US. All padel enthusiasts in this country should have the same goals and strive to move the sport in the same direction." John Embree, Executive Director and CEO of USPTA, welcomes padel to the United States and strongly supports the growth of the sport. "This association supports our vision to provide the highest level of educational tools and programs that improve the livelihoods of our members and to create career opportunities within the industry." This agreement represents a giant step forward for the growth of sport in the United States. We will help guide and lead the industry as sport continues to grow around the world in 90 countries.
