In 2024 Ale Galán will once again have the best possible rackets to continue developing his spectacular career. From now on, the adidas player has at his disposal two of the best rackets from the new adidas collection: the Metalbone HRD+ and the Metalbone 3.3. Both are designed for the best players, like Ale, to dominate the court with the most powerful shots ever seen.
adidas has manufactured them with the key objective of helping one of the best padel players ever and one who continues to break set new boundaries. The rackets are designed to help a player who has been proving to be at the top for years to improve even further. Two rackets with power at the forefront
The two rackets that accompany Ale Galán in tournaments and in his day to day, have certain similarities. At the end of this article you will find out more about their differences, but we will start by talking about the spectacular features they share that make them two flagships of the attacking game.
Metalbone 3.3 and Metalbone HRD+ have the same package of technologies. There are five in total, all of them designed to achieve excellence in different aspects of the game. The main one, as we are dealing with two rackets that are leaders in the attacking game, is to offer maximum power in each stroke.
To guarantee maximum rigidity, Ale Galán's new rackets have two elements of the highest level. The Octagonal Structure consists of an octagonal-shaped tubular structure located in the frame that provides unparalleled strength. Secondly, the Structural Reinforcement has perimeter reinforcements to limit the torsion and increase durability.
The most differential aspect of both rackets is the Weight & Balance System. This system allows the player to take the racket a step further in terms of offensive qualities or, if they prefer, to provide better handling capabilities for a controlled style. And how can that be achieved? This technology has six removable screws that make it possible to modify the weight and balance of the racket. In this way, the player can choose the configuration that suits them best for each game.
The two latest technologies of the Metalbone 3.3 and Metalbone HRD+ are in line with perfecting spin. Firstly, the Spin Blade Decal means the racket has a rough surface layer that offers the best feel and maximum capacity for friction. And secondly, the Smart Holes Curve organizes the holes of the racket in the most optimal way to achieve the highest ball spin rate.
Beyond the technologies, Ale Galán's two new rackets share other qualities. Both have a Diamond Oversize shape, the best head design for attacking play. This design shifts the balance of the racket to the top, which allows the player to play the most powerful shots. Both also come with a frame protector, ideal to prevent chips and damage in one of the most exposed parts of the racket.
Differences between the Metalbone 3.3 and the Metalbone HRD+
The great difference between Ale Galán's rackets lies in their composition. The materials a racket is made of completely determine its behavior. That is why we are talking about a single aspect in which the Metalbone 3.3 and the Metalbone HRD+ change, but this is the determining factor.
The two rackets share the Carbon Aluminized 2 to 1 fiber on the surface, the stiffest adidas compound manufactured to cover the outside of them. However, the rubbers that make up the interior are different in each one.
The Metalbone HRD+ is made of EVA High Memory rubber, a high stiffness compound that provides a very high torsional strength core. Therefore, its capacity to create power is maximum. In contrast, the Metalbone 3.3 has EVA Soft Performance rubber inside, a lower stiffness compound. This rubber offers an extra aspect in terms of ball exit and comfort while maintaining the attacking game provided by the rest of the materials and technologies.
Ale Galán's two rackets are made for the most demanding hands and the strongest arms to get the most out of their game. They have been designed to accompany the number one.
