RX rackets: Which is best for your game?
For an intermediate padel player looking to take their game to the next level, the choice of racket is key. Some players prefer a more attacking game, others go for a more controlled approach, while the ability to get the best effects such as spin is also a factor. To really take your game to the next level, having the right racket is fundamental. And in the 2023 collection of rackets, RX has come up with four that are of the highest quality, with their own individual characteristics that should be considered.
In this post, let’s take a closer look at each of the four rackets, and consider each of their strengths. And hopefully with this information, you’ll have what to need to help you decide which racket best suits you.
RX Greenpadel: A winner for the environment
With environmental concerns an ever-increasing priority, where better to start than the RX Greenpadel. This racket is a true winner for the environment, and should you opt for it, you’ll be doing your bit for the planet. The material of the racket is 100% recyclable and biodegradable - it’s made from Linen Fibre, for example, which is an organic flax fibre that provides extraordinary versatility.
Don’t worry though - this racket is also designed to improve your game. It’s made with the intermediate player in mind, and one who prefers a more controlled game. The round head and a total surface of 499 cm2 means it has a large sweet spot, giving more opportunity for you to hit the perfect shot. In addition, the EVA soft performance rubber means the RX Greenpadel is comfortable in your hand. If you want to work getting more power in your game, the racket offers a double fibre insert in the core - something that increases its rigidity. Smart Holes Lineal technology also strengthens the surface and improves racket durability.
Two options for comfort
Feeling comfortable on court is key for an intermediate player. If you are confident and comfortable with your racket, you’ll feel more at ease and the improvements in your game will come naturally. RX has designed two rackets with the ultimate comfort in mind - the RX 1000 and RX 2000 Light.
The RX 1000, which comes in a yellow and black colour, is a versatile and multi-purpose racket designed to improve your overall game. How does it do that? It’s packed full of technology to improve every aspect, from control, shot effects and more. Structural reinforcement technology is incorporated around the perimeter of the entire racket to generate greater resistance, allowing you to get greater power in your shots. However, you won’t miss out on comfort as it also features EVA soft performance rubber and is made of glass fibre, a solid, but light material. Smart Holes Lineal technology has a dual effect - it helps with the durability of the racket, and also means you can get some more effectiveness from for shots.
For its part, the RX 2000 Light, which comes in a blue and black combination, offers similar technology. Its features include EVA Soft Performance, Smart Holes Lineal technology, and it's also made of fibreglass. The key difference is in the weight of the racket, with the RX 2000 Light weighing between 345-360 grams, around 15 grams lighter than the RX 1000. Carrying less weight in your hand means you’ll be able to focus more on your movement around the padel court and getting greater precision in your shots.
RX Carbon: The perfectly balanced racket
The final racket in the RX range is the RX Carbon. It’s a perfectly balanced racket designed to improve all aspects of your game. Made in a red and black colour combination, the racket has a rounded head allowing for a bigger surface to make your perfect shot. The comfort aspect of the RX Carbon comes from the combination of EVA Soft Performance rubber and the 3K carbon surface. However, the racket also includes features that will allow you to work on your power too, such as Structural Power Technology and Smart Holes Lineal technology, that add to the rigidity of the racket.
All in all, this RX range features something for everyone. If you’d like to know more about each individual racket, you can visit their pages on the All for Padel website, where you’ll find all the information you need, and can also compare with our other rackets in the 2023 collection.
