Lorena Rufo: our newest member of adidas padel

adidas padel welcomes Lorena Rufo into its team of professional players. The 19-year-old young woman from Cáceres, number 32 in the World Padel Tour ranking, becomes the newest member of the All For Padel family for the 2023 season.

Rufo is a top-level player on the international circuit. She needs no introduction really as she has already enjoyed spectacular success on the junior circuit and is considered of the brightest talents who will make it all the way to the very top of the padel scene in the coming years.

The player from Extremadura has accumulated great results in recent seasons. In 2022 she was a fixture in the final stages of the World Padel Tour tournaments. Her best result in the past year was reaching the quarterfinals at the Swedish Padel Open.

An amazing trajectory

In the last three years, Lorena Rufo has shown to the world padel elite the level of player that she is and can become. The truth is that since her formative years, she has been exhibiting her talent. Rufo is a triple world champion (2015, 2017 and 2019) and a three-time Spanish champion (2018, 2019 and 2021) in different categories.

She started playing padel at the age of ten and at just 14 she played her first World Padel Tour tournament. In 2020, at just 16, she joined Marta Talaván, with whom she took a decisive step in her career. During the two years that the pair played together, Lorena's growth was exponential. They parted ways at the end of 2021. In the last year, Rufo has had four different partners: Sofía Araújo, Carmen Goenaga, Carla Mesa and Claudia Fernández. With all of them she has continued to demonstrate her enormous talent. The 2023 season will see her team up again with Marta Talaván, with whom she aspires to continue growing on the World Padel Tour circuit.

Metalbone CTRL 3.2 will accompany Lorena

Lorena will take to the padel court accompanied by one of the very best rackets – the Metalbone CTRL 3.2. With this racket, part of the adidas 2023 collection, Lorena will be able to show of her incredible array of shots she has in her locker, in the knowledge that it has been designed for a controlled approach but leaves nothing to chance for players also working in power, precision, and shot effects.
