Alex Ruiz, a superhero flies in Madrid

Alex Ruiz, a superhero flies in Madrid

Alex Ruiz gives a great padel performance in the first World Padel Tour tournament of the year.

If we call Álex Ruiz "Captain America" it's because of the things he has done this last week in the first WPT tournament celebrated in Madrid.. The player from Malaga has achieved his best result of his career, reaching the final. Alex has played at a level of a real superhero during the whole competition. This great performance by our captain is part of a work ethic and an impressive perseverance. Those who are surprised by this result, those who doubt... it''s because they don't know the effort that Alex puts in his dedication to this sport. From All For Padel we can not be more proud of you. We have been working together for 5 years now and this result is a reward for all your progression and hard work. Congratulations Alex, we know you deserve this success! Despite starting at the top of the draw, in theory the most complicated, the duo Ruiz and Stupa didn't hesitate at any time. Both playing with determination the key points, the way champions do. Of the 5 matches played, 4 of them were decided in the third set. One of these matches was against the current world number 1's, Galan and Lebron. A quarterfinal match in which the player from Malaga performed an extraordinary level of padel, which was a huge victory, giving what would undoubtedly be the biggest "shock" of the tournament and earning the nickname of "giant-killer".

Even though we all know that the season is very long and this is just the beginning, seeing the level shown by Alex and his partner Franco Stupaczuk, shows us that this duo, is going for everything! Thank you Alex for this week that you have given us, and as the poet Walt Whitman wrote in his masterpiece

"O Captain, my Captain!"
