Galán conquers Madrid

Some titles are special. Then there are the ones won at home.

Ale Galán shone once again in Madrid after winning the Comunidad de Madrid Premier Padel P1 alongside Fede Chingotto. In a spectacular final at the Movistar Arena, the pair defeated Mike Yanguas and Coki Nieto 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, claiming their seventh title of the season.

A final worthy of Madrid

The road to the title was far from easy. Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas arrived in the final after producing one of the tournament's biggest surprises by eliminating Coello and Tapia in the quarter-finals. From the opening set, the match was decided by the smallest margins. After splitting the first two sets, Galán and Chingotto found the decisive break at 4-4 in the third to seal one of the most exciting finals of the season.

For more than two and a half hours, both pairs treated the crowd to an outstanding display of padel, filled with spectacular points and high-intensity rallies. For Galán, the victory carried extra significance. Winning in Madrid, in front of his home fans, makes the achievement even more special and confirms the excellent form he continues to show alongside Chingotto.

The race for number one continues

With this victory, Galán and Chingotto reach seven titles in 2026 and keep the battle for the top spot alive. After Madrid, they sit just 470 points behind Coello and Tapia in the 2026 Race, leaving the fight for number one wide open heading into the final stretch of the season.

Madrid has new champions. And for Ale Galán, lifting the trophy in front of his home crowd makes this one of the most memorable victories of the year.
